My character can jump, fall from it, can't jump too high (Or too low), and all other mechanics are going fine. Except that when I walk off of an object into thin air it doesn't make the character fall until the move button is released, how do I enable gravity whilst in midair?

Hi! I have a (what should be) simple question. I'm curious to know how to make my character sit down. It's a simple 2D sidescrolling game.I unfortunately cannot show pictures of all the sprites and such, as this is a new account to here and I cannot yet post links. I am just curious on what method of action I should take to be able to undergo this. Please respond as soon as possible, as I have to get moving as much as possible. PS: The sprites I have is the regular standing still character, the sitting down motion sprite, the one that is sitting down, and the last one being the one getting up.

No it hasn't stopped using gml but things have been added/removed/changed. Honestly we'd be better off dropping a link on the navigation for the legacy wiki.

OK, got ya on the structure.

Most of the pages are documentation w multiple examples and cook book type stuff (if me brain recalls). Where do you want to put that stuff?

I'm not familiar with the new GM:S so I have no idea what 'outdated' means. GM hasn't stopped using GML or anything has it?

I felt like it needed some changes to accommodate the features now present in GM:S such as shaders and extensions among other things.

My goal layout for the wiki was this:
Beginner's Crash Course - A complete set of tutorials designed specifically to take a user from never having used GameMaker all the way to intermediate/advanced status. The goal was to cover as much as possible by actually creating games. Starting from the simple click the clown type up to a semi advanced platform.

Advanced tutorials - Unrelated tutorials specifically about more advanced subject matter such as shader tutorials, dll writing, Box2D physics, etc.

Scripts - Collection of useful scripts
Shaders - Collection of useful shaders
Extensions - Collection of useful extensions

Is any of that old stuff not outdated?

Will this restructuring also apply to the wiki? What's the difference?

The reason I ask is because there's some 600 pages, most of (which I'll dig up for you) and I'm wondering where to put them.
